Traditional villages
Kythnos is famous for its traditional character and the warm hospitality of its inhabitants. The villages worth visiting are the following:
Chora or Messaria: built amphitheatrically on the slope of a hill, Chora has an authentic Cycladic beauty that emerges from the houses that spring here and there and its picturesque alleys that adorn this place.
Here you will find: cafes, patisseries (also try sweets from our traditional Panochori patisserie), shops, traditional restaurants and bars (you can enjoy a refreshing drink at the Panochori Bar)
Merichas: Apart from being the port of Kythnos, it has a high position in the must-visit places of Kythnos, as there is the Cape of Markos, from where you can admire the beautiful view of the sunset and the golden shades of the sky.

Dryopida: the tradition of many in the ceramic art, as well as the houses (traditional houses Spitares) with the tiled roofs make it very picturesque.

Loutra: a seaside village with thermal springs where in ancient times King Otto and his wife used to visit them. They consist of 2 thermal springs of Agioi Anargyroi, which are saline and located inside the Thermal Hydrotherapy Center, and Kakavos, which contains iodide, bromide and sodium chloride, reaching a temperature of 52οC. In fact, on the beach where the springs end, there is a specially designed stone area where you can enjoy their healing properties.
